2005 GM Robert S. Poremba Memorial Recognition Award, given to an engineering group manager who “reminds us, through daily conduct, of the value of the ethics, principles, and traits exemplified by our late friend and colleague.”
Honorable mention for the best paper in optimization published in 1993-96, given at the Fifth SIAM Conference on Optimization, May 1996, for the paper “Lipschitzian Optimization without the Lipschitz Constant.”
